So in November I stepped onto this novel writing path. And when the month was over, I wound up with a 50K+ word chunk of a novel.
Cool, huh?
I thought so.
But here's the problem...I took a month off.
I had to. There was no way to get through the end of the semester madness of student papers/conferences/papers/final and final grades without taking the break.
But now I have to dig back in...
And for the life of me I can't remember where I left off.
I know where I actually left off inside the novel itself. But the train of thought that I was on at the end of November seems to have gotten off track somewhere along the line.
So now I have to figure out how to get me and my novel back on track.
Last night, I took a good hard look at where I ended up. And I think that I can keep going on that part for a while. And I've also started listing some of the different scenes that I've either forgot to add or have just figured out I need to add them.
I'm still trying to figure out prickly repartee as part of the back and forthing between my main character and the guy who is bugging the crap out of her...in a good way.
But all in all...I can't figure out why I keep having this desire to just curl up and take a really long nap on the sofa.
So what're you writing?
